The enterprising fundraisers for the new Dawn Library Project took in another bushel of money in July – $1,576, to be exact. Reynolds Architects, Inc., the firm that drew up the plans for the library, donated a 37-inch TV that was raffled at the Caroline County Agricultural Fair, and an anonymous donor provided two gas gift cards that were also raffled.
The next fundraiser is scheduled for August 20 when a pancake supper is held at Concord Baptist Church from 5 to 7 p.m. There is no cost; a contribution is asked. The bidding on the new Dawn Library's construction were opened Tuesday, July 20. The announcement of the lowest bid was scheduled for Tuesday's Board of Supervisors Meeting.
